Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the small number of cookies and similar browser storage used on kyanovo.com. That includes members' personal links (kyanovo.com/username), member stores (kyanovo.com/username/shop) and the member back office. It is part of our Privacy Policy, so please read the two together.

This policy is issued by Kyanovo International LLC ("KYANOVO", "we", "us", "our"), the company that operates kyanovo.com.

1. The short version

  • We keep cookies to a minimum. Most of the ones we set keep sign-in secure and keep you signed in.
  • One cookie remembers which member invited you, so they are recognized and you can sign up through them.
  • Your shopping cart is kept in your own browser until you check out.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or session-recording tools. We do not sell or share cookie data for advertising.

2. What cookies and browser storage are

  • Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. Your browser sends them back to that website on later visits, so the site can remember things like whether you are signed in.
  • First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting, in this case kyanovo.com. Third-party cookies are set by a different domain.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until a set expiry date or until you delete them.
  • Local storage is a space in your browser where a site can keep information on your device. It works much like a cookie, but it is not sent to the site automatically with every visit.

3. Cookies we use

These are all first-party cookies set by kyanovo.com.

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lastsType
kyanovo.refRemembers the username of the member whose personal link you followed.30 days from the last time you opened a member's personal linkFunctional (referral)
__Secure-kyanovo.session-tokenKeeps you signed in to your member account and back office. It holds an encrypted sign-in token that identifies your account.Until you sign out, or 30 days after your last visit while signed inStrictly necessary
__Host-authjs.csrf-tokenProtects the sign-in form against forged requests from other websites.Until you close your browserStrictly necessary
__Secure-authjs.callback-urlRemembers which page to take you back to after you sign in.Until you close your browserStrictly necessary

Some browsers have a "continue where you left off" setting. If yours does, it may keep cookies that would normally end with the browser session.

More about the referral cookie (kyanovo.ref)

  • When it is set: only when you open a member's personal link (kyanovo.com/username). Opening a member's store or any other page does not set it.
  • What it holds: the member's username. It holds nothing about you.
  • Latest link wins: if you later open a different member's personal link, the cookie is overwritten with that member's username and the 30 days start again.
  • What we use it for:
    • filling in the referral ID on the signup form;
    • showing a "Referred by" line at the top of our pages;
    • opening that member's store when you choose Shop on our main site;
    • linking a request for founding information to the member who invited you.
  • Who can read it: our own pages can read it, so the signup form can fill in the referral ID. It is not shared with other websites.
  • If you block or delete it: the site still works, with three differences:
    • the signup page will not know who invited you, so you will need a signup link that includes the member's referral ID;
    • Shop will open a default store instead of your member's store;
    • the "Referred by" line will not appear.

When you open a member's personal link, our servers also record that visit, separately from the cookie. The record includes your IP address, your browser and device type, and the page you came from. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle this information.

4. Browser storage we use

ItemWhat it doesHow long it lastsType
kyanovo.cart.<store> (local storage)Keeps the products and quantities in your cart. There is a separate cart for each member store, so carts from different stores never mix.Until you complete a paid order in that store (the cart then empties), remove the items, or clear your browser's site data. It has no set expiry.Strictly necessary

Your cart holds product codes and quantities only. It stays on your device until you go to checkout. At checkout, our servers look up current prices from our own records; we never rely on prices stored in your browser. If your browser blocks site storage, the cart may not work.

5. Third-party services

Our own pages do not load third-party advertising, analytics or social-media code. Two services we link to or embed may set their own cookies on their own domains.

  • Stripe (payments). When you pay, you leave kyanovo.com for Stripe's secure hosted checkout page. Stripe may set its own cookies there, for example to run the payment session and help detect fraud. Stripe's cookies are covered by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies, not this one. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • YouTube (video). One information page on our site includes a video embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). If you play the video, YouTube (part of Google) may store cookies or similar data in your browser under Google's own policies.

Fonts are served from our own site, and photos are delivered through our own servers. Loading our pages therefore does not make your browser contact a font service or an image service.

People also share member links on social media, by email and on their own websites. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.

6. What we do not use

  • No analytics cookies or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics).
  • No advertising, retargeting or "remarketing" cookies.
  • No social-media pixels or tracking tags.
  • No session-recording or heat-map tools.
  • No cookies that follow you across other websites.
  • No selling or sharing of cookie data for targeted advertising.

Emails. Our own systems do not add tracking pixels to our emails or track the links in them. The service that delivers our emails may, depending on its settings, record whether an email was opened or a link in it was clicked, as part of its standard delivery reports. We do not use that information for advertising or to build a profile of you.

Browser privacy signals. We do not track you across sites or use cookies for targeted advertising, so a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing extra to turn off on our site. You are welcome to send them anyway.

7. Your consent

Strictly necessary cookies and storage are needed for features you ask for, such as signing in or keeping a cart. The law does not require consent for them, so we do not ask for it.

We use no analytics or advertising cookies, so we do not show a cookie banner. The referral cookie is set only when you choose to open a member's personal link. It holds only that member's username and is never used for advertising or analytics, and you can delete or block it at any time (see section 8).

Before we add any other cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first.

8. How to control cookies

You are in control. All major browsers let you see, delete and block cookies and site data.

  • Browser settings. Look in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Your browser's help pages explain the steps. Mobile browsers have the same options in their settings.
  • Remove only ours. Most browsers let you clear the cookies and site data for one website. Choose kyanovo.com to remove our cookies and your saved cart.
  • Sign out. Signing out of your account removes the sign-in cookie.
  • Private browsing. In a private or incognito window, cookies and local storage are deleted when you close the window.

What happens if you block them:

If you block…What changes
Sign-in cookiesYou will not be able to sign in to your account or back office.
Local storageYour cart may not hold items.
The referral cookieSee section 3: the signup page will not know who invited you, Shop opens a default store, and the "Referred by" line will not show.

9. Changes to this policy

This Cookie Policy will be revised when our site works differently or the law changes. Each revision carries a new "Last updated" date, shown under the title.

If we ever plan to use analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy before they go live.
